C.I.T. Program
Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Program (10th-12th Grade)
As you know the summer can be a time of wasted days. If teenagers have nothing to do, they will do nothing all day long. We want to provide a summer full of activity, fun and learning for your teen. Many of you are familiar with our C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) program. Although we hope that many of the teens who participate in this program will later become counselors, we aim to achieve three main goals:
- Provide an escape from an unproductive summer
- Provide fun for teens with their peers and older role models
- Build character & leadership qualities through volunteer service & Bible teaching
We believe this will be a wonderful growing experience for your teen whether or not he/she wishes to become a counselor in the future. C.I.T.’s will receive training in the following two areas:
- Activity Assistant - Learn how to interact and provide fun, safe activities for children
- Group Assistant - Get hands on training with mentoring and caring for the needs of children as well as communicating with parents.
Our make-up CIT Training is this Sunday, June 22nd from 1:00-3:00pm.
